The Cape Breton Eagles goaltending tandem was reunited Friday night.
Kevin Mandolese returned to the team's lineup after missing 11 games with a lower-body injury, which he suffered during a game against the Moncton Wildcats on Oct. 31 in Sydney.
The Ottawa Senators draft pick served as the backup to William Grimard, who has played the majority of games during the time Mandolese was out of the lineup.
Mandolese did get some game action on Friday, replacing Grimard early in the third period, allowing a goal on eight shots in a 6-5 loss to the Halifax Mooseheads at Scotiabank Centre.
The 19-year-old Mandolese was one of three players out of the Cape Breton lineup with injuries, including Adam McCormick and Cole Fraser, both dealing with upper-body injuries.
