BARRINGTON PASSAGE, N.S. — The first weekend of play has wrapped up and the second one is on tap for the annual Shelburne County Minor Hockey Association (SCMHA) Fall Classic hockey tournament.
Seven teams faced off in Atom C and Peewee C competition on Nov. 9 and 10 at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena on Sherose Island and the Shelburne County Arena in Shelburne.
The South Shore Lumberjacks took home the Atom C banner, while the Shelburne County Flames claimed the Peewee C title.
The Fall Classic continues on Nov. 16 and 17 at both arenas, with teams facing off in Peewee A and Bantam B divisions.
Shelburne, Clare/Digby and Yarmouth will be competing in the Peewee A division. Facing off in Bantam B are Shelburne, TASA, Halifax Red, Yarmouth, Halifax Black and Queens County.
Action gets underway at 11 a.m. in Barrington and 12:15 in Shelburne on Nov. 16 and at 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 17 at both arenas. The Peewee A championship game is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. followed by the Bantam B banner contest at 2:45 p.m. Both championship games are at the Sandy Wickens Memorial Arena.
