KINGSTON, N.S. — The Atom A Mariners, sponsored by Pink Star Barro, had a very successful showing at the Western Valley David Morse Memorial Tournament (Kingston, NS) over the Nov. 30-Dec. 1 weekend by bringing home the championship banner.
In the first game Yarmouth defeated Western Valley 4-1. Goals were scored by Parker LeBlanc with two, Philip Richard and Brady Newell. Assists were by Jake Sanford, Brody Symonds, Brady Newell and Jesse Churchill. Jarriyn Maxwell and Austin Stoddard were in net.
In the second game, Yarmouth defeated the Pictou Crushers 6-2. Goals were scored by Brody Brannen, Brady Newell, Philip Richard and Parker LeBlanc with three. Assists came from Carl Landry, Myles Ellis, Jake Sanford and Philip Richard. Jarriyn Maxwell and Austin Stoddard were in net.
In the championship game, Yarmouth shut out Pictou 5-0. Goals were scored by Jake Sanford with two, Carl Landry, Nate d'Entremont and Cullen Fitzgerald. Assists were by Nate d'Entremont, Brody Brannen, Myles Ellis, and Parker LeBlanc. Jarriyn Maxwell and Austin Stoddard were in net.
This is the first gold medal win this season for this team.
