YARMOUTH, N.S. —

PEEWEE AA

The Yarmouth RBC Dominion Securities and Pharmasave Pee Wee AA Mariners were at home this past weekend for three games against the Pictou County Crushers.
In Game 1 the Mariners battled hard, pulling off a 4-2 win over Pictou with an empty netter. Scoring for the Mariners were Lucas Cameron, Cruz Stoddard, Bryce Fitzgerald and Connor Stoddard. Assists were added by Cruz Stoddard with 2, Connor Pothier, Ashton Samms, Connor Stoddard and Miguel Surette. Starting goalie was Miguel Surette.
In game 2 the Mariners had many scoring chances but struggled finding the back of the net and the game ended in a 2-2 tie. Scoring for the Mariners were Ashton Samms and Karter Bain. The only assist was by added by Connor Stoddard. Cohen Neil was the starting goalie.
In Game 3 the Mariners came up short losing 4-3 to Pictou. Scoring for the Mariners were Marcel Jacquard with 2 goals and Cruz Stoddard. Assists were added by Matt Perry, Max Gates and Connor Stoddard. Miguel Surette was the starting goalie.


BANTAM AA

Wade’s Wire Traps Bantam AA team went undefeated in two games verses Antigonish, Bulldogs this past Saturday.

The score was 5-2 in the first game and goals were scored by Dylan Hatfield, Carson D’Eon, Riley Hubbard, Jack Atkinson and Dakota Ryer.

two ended in a 4-2 score. Riley Hubbard, Isaac Tunnicliff each scored single goals while Chase Perry notched two goals. Assisting were Chase Perry, Nolan Saulnier, Dakota Ryer, Krew Goodwin, Dylan Hatfield, Seamus d’Entremont and Russell Pinksen.

Wade’s Wire Traps BantamAA team will hosting 3 home games this weekend. Game 1 and 2 are verses Truro at 4 p.m. on Saturday and on Sunday at 10 a.m. The last game on Sunday will be played at 2:30 p.m. verses South Shore.


BANTAM A

The Yarmouth Western Riptide Bantam A girls played two away games this past weekend. On Saturday, Nov. 30, they played Colchester and won 4-1. Goals were scored by Sydnee Lloyd, Isabel Doucette, Jorden Nickerson and Issabelle d’Entremont. Chloe Swaine had an assist.

On Sunday, Dec. 1 they defeated Pictou 6-2. Madison Cushing and Chloe Swaine each had two goals with the other goals scored by Rene Melanson and Carly Kini. Rene Melanson, France Boudreau, Carly Kini, Chloe Swaine, Jorden Nickerson and Adele Comeau each had an assist.

Marissa Fevens was in net for both games.


MIDGET A

The JStrong Midget A Mariners were shut out 3-0 by Queens at the Mariners Centre on Nov. 30 in league action.

On Dec. 1, the Mariners had a 2-1 win over Acadia in league action. Scoring for JStrong were Gaetan Deveau and Chandler LeBlanc, both unassisted. Liam White was in net.


BANTAM A

The GPK Refrigeration Bantam A Mariners played three games on the road this past weekend and came away with two wins.

Saturday saw the Mariners defeat the Antigonish Bulldogs 4-1 in their first game of the day. Scoring were Brody Smith, Ben Lyons, Dominic Jacquard and Landon Watkins-Bonnar, with assists from Nolan Cottreau (2), Ollie Tipton, Daniel Kenney and Ryan d’Entremont.

The Mariners second game of the day saw the Pictou County Crushers come away with the 7-2 victory. Ollie Tipton and Alyre Richardson scored for the Mariners with assists from Brody Smith, Ollie Tipton and Alyre Richardson.

The Mariners bounced back Sunday, defeating the Truro Bearcats 10-3. Scoring were Landon Watkins-Bonnar (2), Daniel Kenney (2), Blake Fish (2), Ben Lyons, Alyre Richardson, Ollie Tipton and Lucas Cottreau. Cohen Nickerson recorded 5 assists, with additional helpers coming from Ollie Tipton (2), Blake Fish (2), Keaton Muise (2), Landon Watkins-Bonnar (2), Lucas Cottreau and Nolan Cotrreau.

Braeden Hipson was in net for all three games.
