Yarmouth girls, Shelburne boys undefeated in Phil Callan Memorial Basketball Classic

SHELBURNE, N.S. — The Yarmouth Vikings senior girls and the Shelburne Rebels senior boys were undefeated with 3-0 records at the 11th annual Phil Callan Memorial Basketball Classic at the Shelburne Regional High School on Nov. 28 to 30. 
Eight teams competed in the three-day round-robin tourney. 
In the senior boys’ division, Shelburne defeated the Lockeport Greenwave 71-50, took out the Park View Panthers 96-61 and posted an 85-56 win over the West Kings Wolverines. Lockeport went 2-1 in senior boys’ play with a 75-52 win over West Kings and an 81-70 victory over Park View.
In senior girls’ action, Yarmouth defeated Lockport 62-38, beat the Springhill Golden Eagles 59-49 and edged Shelburne 46-43. Lockeport went 2-1 in tourney action, defeating the Rebels 65-41 in the opening game, and downing Springhill 80-42.
