AMHERST, N.S. – Besides playing hockey at the Fred Page Cup in Amherst, The Yarmouth Mariners also visited kids and teachers at West Highlands Elementary School.
Kids at the school were assigned the task of decorating the Yarmouth Mariners dressing room at Amherst Stadium.
The Mariners liked the decorations so much that they visited the school and had a parade with the Canadian Tire Cup, which they were awarded with after winning the Maritime Hockey League championship.
Each elementary school in Amherst was assigned a dressing room.
