The senior girls volleyball team from École secondaire de Par-en-Bas in Tusket won gold in a tournament at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, going undefeated en route to the tournament title.

The team came in first place in their pool, beating Eastern Shore, Cabot and Armbrae Academy.

PEB defeated École secondaire de Clare in the crossovers and took two straight games vs Avon View in the final to earn top spot in the 10-team tournament, which was held the last weekend of September.

The team was coached by Phil Cottreau.

The next tournament for the Par-en-Bas senior girls is the Bridgewater tournament at Centre Scolaire de la Rive Sud Oct. 19-20.
