Glace Bay's Logan Shaw scores first goal of season for Winnipeg Jets

WINNIPEG, Man. — A Cape Breton hockey player recorded his first goal of the 2019-20 season in the National Hockey League on Sunday.

Logan Shaw found the back of the net at 14:35 of the second period, giving the Winnipeg Jets a 5-1 lead over the Philadelphia Flyers at Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg.

The Jets would win the game 7-3.

The 27-year-old Glace Bay native has been with the Jets since Oct. 28 and is currently playing on the club's fourth line. In 19 games, Shaw has one goal and is averaging 7:06 in ice time.

Shaw and the Jets return to action on Thursday when they host the Chicago Blackhawks. Game time is 9 p.m. and will be live on TSN 3.
