Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School will play host to a senior boys basketball tournament Friday and Saturday, Jan. 18 and 19, with six teams slated to take part.
The action is scheduled to start Friday at 3 p.m. with the host Vikings playing Northeast Kings Education Centre (NKEC).
There will be four games Friday and five games Saturday, culminating with a 4 p.m. game featuring the first-place teams from each tournament pool.
Pool A consists of Yarmouth, NKEC and Forest Heights. Pool B consists of Drumlin Heights, Lockeport and Avon View.

6:30 p.m. Forest Heights vs NKEC
8:15 p.m. Drumlin vs Avon View
Saturday, Jan. 19
9 a.m. Yarmouth vs Forest Heights
10:45 a.m. Avon View vs Lockeport
12:30 p.m. third place vs third place
2:15 p.m. second place vs second place
4 p.m. first place vs first place.
YCMHS boys win 1 of 3 games in Halifax basketball tournament
The Yarmouth Consolidated Memorial High School varsity senior boys basketball team took part in the Milk Classic tournament in Halifax this past weekend, the Vikings winning a game and losing two.
In their first game, the Vikings fell to Halifax West 83-74.
Dylan Landry was Yarmouth’s player of the game. Top scorers were Landry with 37 points and Noah Wilcox with 31 points.
Next, Yarmouth lost to Breton Education Centre 89-71. Ethan Hemeon was player of the game for YCMHS. Noah Wilcox (24 points) and Dylan Landry (14 points) were top scorers.
In their third game, the Vikings defeated Memorial 78-50. Noah Wilcox was player of the game. Dylan Landry had 22 points and Wilcox had 18.
Randall Fells was the YCMHS defensive player of the tournament and Mehmet Irtis received the Yarmouth hustle award for the tournament.
