An event that was originally scheduled for Monday Nov. 26 will now be held the following day: the Cape Forchu Lighthouse annual Dumping Day Morning.
Gale force winds forecast for the start of the lobster fishing season in LFA 34 has delayed the departure of the fleet to Tuesday.
Yarmouth's town crier, David Olie, holds a lantern to cheer the departure of the Yarmouth Harbour lobster fishing fleet. Last year dozens turned out for the early morning event. The send off will be held on Tuesday.

Residents are encouraged to support the fishing industry by attending the early morning event at the lighthouse, where the fleet is blessed by VHF radio and everyone is encouraged to shine a flashlight as the boats depart Yarmouth Harbour.
At 5 a.m. a continental breakfast will be held for a donation to the Friends of the Yarmouth Light Society.
The blessing of the fleet will take place at 5:45 a.m.
At 6 a.m. boats will be departing Yarmouth Harbour as well as dozens of others along the coast of this region.
The event can also be viewed (limited range) via webcam, which has a 24-history feature.
