The Halifax Regional Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a missing Dartmouth woman.
According to a media release on the police force's website, 45-old Donna Lee Sweeny has not been seen since noon Feb. 3. She left her Second Street residence on foot to go visit a friend on Lakecrest Drive but never arrived. She is 5'6”, 180 lbs., brown eyes, short black hair and wears black rimmed glasses. She was last seen wearing a black winter jacket and beige boots.
She is originally from Yarmouth County and her family lives here.
There is no information to suggest that she has met with foul play; however, she suffers from a medical condition and requires daily medication, and it is out of character for her to be out of contact with friends and family. Officers request that Sweeney or anyone with information on her whereabouts calls police at 490-5020.
