A Nov. 1 trial date has been set for a former Yarmouth daycare worker who has pleaded not guilty to two sex related charges.

The not guilty pleas for Mason Joel Davidson, 23, were entered on his behalf in provincial court on July 24.

He faces charges of indecent exposure and is charged with sexual interference, related to an alleged incident involving an elementary school aged boy at a Yarmouth summer camp last year. The charges that he has pleaded not guilty to are only allegations at this stage and none of these allegations been proven in court.

(Note to readers: In one of the references to the pleas that were entered in court an editing error occurred in the printed version of this news item in our newspaper incorrectly stating that a guilty plea had been entered. The news item also did correctly state that not guilty pleas were entered and that a trial date had been set. The Vanguard apologizes for and deeply regrets the error.)
