RCMP charged the driver of a 2008 Mazda, who was travelling on Highway 7 just before 9:30 a.m. on April 23, with stunting and not having liability insurance. The man’s license was suspended for seven days and the vehicle was impounded. The driver could also face a fine of up to $2,422.50.
Stunting charges can be laid when a driver is going more than 50 km/h over the speed limit.
RCMP want to remind people that speed is one of the major causes of serious injuries and fatal collisions on roads.
