YARMOUTH - On Thursday, May 3, repairs will be made to the bulk liquid oxygen tank at Yarmouth Hospital. This is the large, white Air Liquide Medical tank on the lawn near the top of the stairs to the Grove Road parking lot.

Before repairs can start, the remaining liquid oxygen in the tank must be removed.

Neighbours of the Yarmouth Hospital might see a cloud of vapour in this area. This vapour forms when the cold liquid oxygen hits the outside air. The cloud is harmless, but may be noticeable for a short time.

There will be large trucks around the liquid oxygen tank, so visitors are asked to please use caution in this area.

Visitors or patients with appointments in Building C (the Clare building, old hospital), should be aware that some parking spaces in front of the building – the handicap spaces outside of Rehabilitation Services/Physiotherapy - may not be available while the repair work takes place.

For safety reasons, please park only in designated parking spots, and do not block fire lanes at all times.
