Yarmouth Rural RCMP were called to the scene just before 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 26.

When RCMP officers arrived, they found two men who had been thrown from an off-road trail bike after it lost control, left the road and struck a tree.

Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries and required transport to hospital by ambulance.

The driver, a 24-year-old man from West Pubnico, was arrested for impaired driving. He provided a blood sample and is facing charges of driving with a blood alcohol content over 80 mg and impaired driving. He is scheduled to appear in Yarmouth Provincial Court on July 24.
