YARMOUTH – Results from Yarmouth County Minor Hockey Association team games on the road over the Oct. 29-30 weekend as supplied to our newsroom.

Two wins for bantam AA

The Wades Wire Traps/Five Star Roofing Mariners had two wins on the road this past weekend against the Antigonish Bulldogs where Yarmouth had 6-0 and 5-2 wins.

Scoring in Game 1 played on Oct. 29 were Yannick Cottreau with 2 goals, Hayden Young, Jay Deviller, Brennan Smith and Caelen Wallace. Adding assists were Donovan Mullen (2), Teagan Scott, Denver d'Entremont and Zach d'Arcy.  Liam Campbell was in nets facing 14 shots for the 6-0 shutout. Blake Goodwin was named player of the game.

Game 2, Oct 30: Scoring for Yarmouth was Hayden Young and Donovan Mullen with 2 goals each; Yannick Cottreau had one goal.  Teagan Scott had 2 assists; Josh Greene and Caelen Wallace each had 1 assist.  Charlie Banks was in nets facing 19 shots for the 5-2 win. Donovan Mullen was named player of the game.  

 

Bantam B Mariners on the road for two games

The Captains Choice Trucking Bantam B Mariners played the West Hants Bantam B Warriors in a league game at the Windsor arena on Oct. 29 with the 4-2 win going to West Hants. Rylan d’Entremont scored both of Yarmouth’s goals. Assists went to Christian d’Entremont, Kailen Saulnier and Claude d’Eon. In nets was Austin Surette

On Oct. 30 the Mariners played Acadia Bantam B in a league game at the Kentville arena, with the 5-4 win going to Acadia.

Scoring for Yarmouth was Rylan d’Entremont a hat-trick and Zack Richardson. Assists went to Jared Sanford (2) and Dominic Higby. In nets was Liam White.

 

Peewee AA picks up two more wins

The Spears and MacLeod PeeWee AA Mariners played two away games last weekend versus the West Hants Warriors.

On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Mariners came away with a 5-4 win, with 2 goals from Seamus d'Entremont and 1 goal each from Orren Hatfield, Cameron Kerr and Spencer Surette.

Sunday’s Oct. 30 game was a 7-4 win for the Mariners, with 2 goals from Spencer Surette and Seamus d'Entremont, and goals from Connor Prouty, Cameron Brown, and Jesse Amiro.

Colby Saulnier was in net for both wins.

The Spears and MacLeod PeeWee AA Mariners are still undefeated this season, with a 7-0 record.

 

 Peewee B Mariners kick off league season with a win

The Yarmouth West Pubnico Pharmasave Peewee B Mariners started their league season Saturday, Oct. 29 with a win 5-4 over the Acadia Axemen. 

Scoring for Yarmouth were Riley Hubbard with a hat-trick, two goals were unassisted and the third was assisted by Daniel Kenney.  Also scoring were

Landon Watkins (Riley Hubbard) and Carson D'eon (Landon Watkins).

 

Atom A Mariners drop two

The Tusket Ford Atom A Mariners lost to the Shelburne Flames Oct. 28 in Barrington by a score of 6-1. Scoring for the Mariners was Miguel Surette assisted by Sean-P Fernandez. (The Shelburne scorers were not available with this posting.)

On Oct. 30 the Mariners traveled to Kentville to play Acadia but lost 5-1. Scoring for the Mariners was Miguel Surette assisted by Lucas Cottreau.
