Win and a loss for the Yarmouth Bantam Double AA Mariners
The Yarmouth Bantam Double AA Wade’s Wire Traps/Five Star Roofing Mariners played two games against Western Valley this past weekend.
Western Valley 4 – Yarmouth 3: Game 1 was on Saturday, Oct. 22 in Middleton. Scoring for the Mariners were Josh Greene (2) and Hayden Young with one goal. Brennan Smith, Zach d’Arcy, Teagan Scott and Ryan Warner each had one assist. Charlie Banks was in net facing 23 shots.
Yarmouth 3 – Western Valley 2: Game 2 was at home on Sunday, Oct. 23. Scoring for the Mariners were Ryan Warner, Josh Greene and Andre d’Entremont. Zach D’Arcy, Yannick Cottreau, Andre d’Entremont, Evan Saulnier, Teagan Scott and Denver d’Entremont each had an assist. Liam Campbell was in net facing 31 shots.
Bantam A Mariners get a win at home
The Captains Choice Trucking Bantam B Mariners played the Queens County Bantam B Cougars in a league game at the Mariners Centre over the weekend.
Yarmouth 8 – Queens 3: Scoring for Yarmouth were Zack Richardson with a hat-trick, Rylan d’Entremont (2), Ashton Doucette, Luke Deon and Tristan d’Entremont. Assists went to Luke d’Eon, Tristan d’Entremont, Zack Richardson, Christian d’Entremont and Kailen Saulnier.
Peewee AA Mariners pick up three wins
The Spears and MacLeod Pharmasave PeeWee AA Mariners played 3 games this past weekend.
Yarmouth 5 – Acadia 4: On Saturday, Oct. 22 the Mariners travelled to Kentville where they defeated the Acadia Axemen. Scoring for the Mariners were Jaden Kerr and Cameron Kerr each with 2 goals and Orren Hatfield with one.
Yarmouth 3 – Cumberland 2: On Sunday, Oct. 23, the Spears and MacLeod Pharmasave PeeWee AA Mariners hosted 2 games at home against the Cumberland County Ramblers. They won both games with a score of 3-2 . Scoring during the first game were Orren Hatfield with 2 goals and Spencer Surette with 1.
Yarmouth 3 – Cumberland 2: Luke MacLeay, Spencer Surette and Orren Hatfield scored goals during the second game.
Peewee A girls drop two at home
The Yarmouth Scotiabank Western Riptide White peewee A team played two home games on Oct. 22 vs Metro East Inferno Black.
Metro East 5 – Western 4: Scoring for the Yarmouth were Karli MacDonald (2 goals), Emilie Crosby (1 goal, 2 assists), Carly Kini (1 goal). Breanne Deveau had one assist.
The girls lost the second game 8-1. Emilie Crosby had an unassisted goal.
Peewee B Mariners split exhibition games
The Yarmouth West Pubnico Pharmasave Peewee B Mariners played 2 exhibition games this past weekend against the Halifax Hawks.
Halifax 3 – Yarmouth 0: Saturday’s game saw the Hawks take the win with a 3-0 score.
Yarmouth 4 – Halifax 3: On Sunday the Mariners rallied back for a 4-3 win. Scoring were Riley Hubbard (assisted by Lucas d’Entremont), Riley Hubbard (unassisted), AJ Deveau (assist by Wyatt Nickerson) and Tyler Adams (assisted by Isaac Tunnicliff.).
Atom A Mariners edged out by Shelburne
The Tusket Ford Atom A Mariners travelled to Barrington on Saturday, Oct. 22 to play the Shelburne Flames.
Shelburne 10 – Yarmouth 8: Scoring goals for the Mariners were Lucas Cottreau (4), Dominic Jacquard (2), Ashton Samms and Caleum Hines. Assists were contributed by Ashton Samms, Caleum Hines, Miguel Surette, Lucas Cottreau, Dominic Jacquard and Maddox D'entremont, all with 1 each. In net for the Mariners was Lukas Nickerson.
