The Yarmouth Clippers U18 girls’ soccer team won the bronze medal at provincials in Sydney.

Yarmouth was edged out by Cole Harbour in its first match 2-1 (Cole Harbour scored the winning goal with just over a minute left in the same). Yarmouth won its second game over Amherst 2-1. Yarmouth then shut out Riverview, Cape Breton 9-0.

Had Cole Harbour lost to Amherst the Yarmouth team would have played for gold. Instead Cole Harbour defeated Amherst 1-0, meaning Yarmouth played for bronze.

Yarmouth defeated Halifax 3-2 in a shootout for the bronze medal victory.
